Philmont 2012
Philmont Scout Ranch, the Boy Scouts of America's premier High Adventure™ base, challenges Scouts and Venturers with more than 214 square miles of rugged northern New Mexico wilderness. Backpacking treks, horseback cavalcades, and training and service programs offer young people many ways to experience this legendary country.
The 2012 Bay Area Council Contingency to Philmont will consist of 2 crews of between 7-12 participants. Each crew must have at least 2 adults, but at least 50% of the crew must be youth. The contingency "Day 1" at Philmont will be June 22, and trek will be for 7 days. The total cost of a 7-day Philmont trek is $450 per person, however, this amount does NOT include cost of transportation, food, and lodging to and from Philmont Scout Ranch.
A $100 per-person deposit is required through this online registration no later than January 31, 2012, with the remaining funds due to Bay Area Council no later than April 1, 2012. All remaining funds after the $100 deposit must be mailed via check/money order directly to Bay Area Council office at: 3020 53rd St. Galveston, TX 77551.
