                       Distinguished Commissioner Award - Council Award
                       Order of the Arrow Distinguished Service Award - OA Lodge award  
                       Silver Beaver - National award presented by Council.

Venturing Leadership Award - Council award for Venturers and Venturing Leaders
                             who have made contributions to Venturing and who exemplify the Venturing Code.
                             Bay Area Council may present awards for youth and two for adults per year.

Young America Award: council-level awards are given to college students through
                             age 25 to highlight the excellent achievements and service to their community,
                             state and nation. The council then submits nominations for the national award.

                             For recognition of services to specific populations: If you know someone worthy of
                             one these, contact your District Executive, or you district or council Advancement
                             & Recognition Chair.

Whitney Young Award: for outstanding service by an adult individual or a
                             organization for demonstrated involvement in the development and implementation
                             of Scouting opportunities for youth for rural or low-income urban backgrounds.
¡Scouting...Vale la Pena! Service Award: for outstanding services by an adult
                             individual or an organization for demonstrated involvement in development and
                             implemention of Scouting opportunities for Hispanic American/Latino youth.
 Asian American Spirit of Scouting Service Award: for outstanding services by
                             an adult individual or organization for demonstrated involvement in the development
                             and implementation of Scouting opportunities for Asian American youth.

 
Silver Antelope - National award for service in a BSA region.
Sliver Buffalo - national award for service to Scouting on a national basis.
Distinguished Eagle Scout Award - highest award presented by NESA, to those who have been an Eagle Scout for >25 years or who have distinguished themselves in their career or public life.
 William Spurgeon Award - national award presented by the council to individuals who have done outstanding work in Career        Awareness Exploring.
George Meany Award - presented by local unions of the AFL-CIO to union members who have faithfully serve Scouting.
James E West Award - for those contributing > $1000 council's endowment fund.
