| BRAVERY AWARDS - National awards selected and presented by council, to be awarded within 6 months from the deed: for youth or adults (note: if you know of someone worthy of these awards, contact a professional at though Council Office or contact the Council Advancement & Recognition Chair) Lifesaving Awards - attempt to save life with accompanying measure of risk to self |

| Meritorious Action Award - notable acts of service that need not involve attempt of rescue or risk to self but put into practice Scouting skills and/or ideals |

| RELIGIOUS EMBLEMS AWARDS To encourage members to grow stronger in their faith, religious groups have developed religious emblems programs. The Boy Scouts of America has approved of these programs and allows the emblems to be worn on the official uniform. The various religious groups administer the programs.
