The district functions on many different levels that need special skills and committed individuals to help maintain the quality of the Scouting program. An active program equates to retention of the youth and scouting families in our area. There are many opportunities for you to help, not only with your units, but within the district as well. In most cases it is simply just not knowing about a need or think you have to be personally asked.
I encourage you to become active in the District for the good of Scouting for all. In the majority of cases you do not have to be a leader that has been Scouting for a long time. You just have to be someone that a project holds an intrest or a skill that can benifit the program. Everyone, (parents, grandparents, community, leaders, college students, and neighbors), are welcome to inquire about the postings.
For more information on the opportunities listed to help, please contact the District Director on the front of your District page. (Note* An adult application will be filled out, youth protection training and background checks done prior to any appoitment.)
