Cub Scout Shooting Sports Day 2019

The severe weather that we have been experiencing at Camp Karankawa is not scheduled to slow down until next week.  Due to the severe weather, we will be postponing the first ever Cub Scout Shooting Sports Day to November 16, 2019.  If you wish to participate that weekend, you do not have to do anything. 

Stay safe, I look forward to seeing everyone at Ghosts & Goblins in October.

Archery! BB Guns! Sling Shots!

Cub Scouts Shooting Sports Day is an opportunity for Tigers, Wolves, Bears and Webelos Scouts (1st - 5th graders)* to participate in shooting sports such as archery, BB gun shooting and sling shot shooting and earn their Shooting Sports Award for each discipline.  Everyone who earns at least one Shooting Sports Award will receive the Shooting Sports Award Patch for their rank (pins will need to be purchased by the individual.)

*This program is NOT open to Lions.

**Due to the requirements of the shooting sports award, it’s possible not every Scout will earn an award.

Registration

TIME: 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.

COST:
$15 per Cub Scout (Spots available until we reach 128.)

Staff are complimentary
(Sorry. Parents and siblings MAY NOT participate, but are welcome to stay and observe. Please register as General Admission)

LUNCH: $5 lunch option (Includes hot dog, chips and drink.)

BSA Health and Medical form for every participant, Parts A&B

- Closed toed shoes are required. No sandals.

$15.00 per Cub Scout
Cancellation Policy
Refunds will only be granted and paid to the original paying customer - the unit or individual. Refunds will only be considered under certain circumstances (sickness, death in family, summer school, military deployment or relocation only) as long as it is requested in writing, with back-up documentation, and received in the Scout Service Center, 3020 53rd Street, Galveston, TX 77551-5917. A 15% processing fee will be applied to all refunds. Refund requests due to light weather issues, homesickness, schedule conflicts, misinterpretation of printed council policies and procedures or reasons other than those noted above will not warrant a refund. In addition, partial refunds will not be granted for partial camp/event stays. If a camp or event is forced to be canceled by the council, because of severe weather, or circumstances prior to the camp or event occurring, the council will reschedule the camp/event or initiate the refund process. All requests are due to the council office no later than 15 days after the close of the event. Refunds will be issued in the form of a check within 30 days after a formal decision has been made.
