Native American Weekend

Native American Weekend 2021

Native American Weekend is open to family campers and offers games, crafts, archery, sling shots, Indian lore and closes with a Saturday night Pow Wow. Camp Friday, Saturday and Sunday or come for a day trip on Saturday only.  All participants will receive a Native American Weekend patch.




TIME: Check-in after 3 p.m. on Friday. Check-in at 8 a.m. on Saturday. Program begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Check-out by 10 a.m. on Sunday.

DATE: November 12-14, 2021

PLACE: Camp Karankawa, 3249 FM 1459 Rd, Sweeny, TX 77480

COST: (Breakfast, lunch and dinner each day are the responsibility of the camper, however lunch may be purchased on Saturday for $6.)

Weekend: $15 youth, $12 adult, $5 youth under 5

Saturday only: $12 youth, $10 adult, $5 youth under 5

Staff and Order of the Arrow staff are complimentary.

$15 per t-shirt. $20 for 2XL-3XL. (Adults only.) Youth will receive a patch, t-shirt and water bottle.

$6, Meal option: Individually packed Taco Bowls (youth and adults). Each Meal will include the following: 1 taco bowl shell, 1 scoop of ground beef taco meat, lettuce, salsa, corn, sour cream, refried beans, and shredded cheese.

Packing list: BSA Health & Medical form parts A&B, masks, camping gear, chairs, food, mosquito spray, rain gear if needed, money for the Trading Post.

TO REGISTER: Groups are encouraged to register as individuals. Packs and Troops will be grouped together based on your answers in the registration. For example, if you answer that you are in Pack 100, you will be grouped with Pack 100.

Cancellation Policy
Refunds will only be granted to the original paying customer, whether it is the unit or individual. All unit refunds will be paid to the Committee Chairperson on record for that unit. All but 15% of an individual's fee is refundable, under certain circumstances (sickness, death in family, summer school, military deployment or relocation only) as long as it is requested in writing, with back-up documentation, and received in the Scout Service Center, 3020 53rd Street, Galveston, TX 77551-5917. Refund requests due to light weather issues, homesickness, and schedule conflicts, misinterpretation of printed council policies and procedures or reasons other than those noted above will not warrant a refund. In addition, partial refunds will not be granted for partial camp/event stays. If a camp or event is forced to be canceled by the council, because of severe weather, or circumstances prior to the camp or event occurring, the council will reschedule the camp/event or initiate the refund process. All requests are due to the council office 15 days prior to the start of the event. Refunds will be issued in the form of a check.
