Greater Lima Area Scouting Scramble Raises Over $20,000 to Support Local Youth
Bluffton, OH — The Black Swamp Area Council, Scouting America, proudly hosted the Greater Lima Area Scouting Scramble on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the Bluffton Golf Club. With 17 teams participating, the event was a resounding success, raising over $20,000 to support Scouting programs across Northwest and West Central Ohio.
The day was filled with camaraderie, competition, and community spirit, all in support of the Council’s mission to serve more than 3,000 youth and volunteers across 13 counties. Golfers enjoyed a full day of play, on-course food and beverages, Scouting-themed games, and a celebratory reception.

Special thanks also go to Von’s and County Electric for sponsoring the beverage carts, and to all who contributed to raffle tickets, games, and challenges throughout the day.
