REGISTER BY: May 14, 2013 REGISTER HERE!!! Our Lodge’s birthday celebration is open to all Bay Area Council Troops. The party begins Friday night and ends Sunday morning. The cost per individual is $20. This price includes Saturday lunch (BBQ and fixings, icecream/cake and drink), participant patch, a Lodge 113 special 75th Anniversary pamphlet, and the cost of awards and ammo. A special Lodge 75th Anniversary flap (for current dues paying Arrowmen only) will be available at the trading psot for an additional $5. OA dues is $12 per year and can be paid on line via the BAC website. For an additional cost, each participant can order a special neckerchief with the participant patch on it and a booklet summarizing the history of our Lodge. The price is yet to be determined. The OA trading post will be open to all Arrowmen and the Camp K trading post open to all participants. Activities Chapter Competitions Each Troop will represent their OA Chapter during this competition and be divided into a representative number of patrols ranging from 5 to 8 boys each. The OA is the Brotherhood of Cheerful Service. Therefore, Brotherhood will be demonstrated by Patrol method supporting their associated OA Chapter. Cheerfulness will be graded by their spirit throughtout the weekend. Service will be judged by their efforts to provide a service project to Camp K during the weekend. OA Chapter competition is divided into four categories: Shooting Sports: The shooting ranges will be scheduled by patrol to help control the traffic. The top ten shooting scores from each Chapter will be used. Games: Each OA Chapter will provide a game or challenge operated by adults for all Youth to participate by patrol. Points will be awarded to their Chapter. Cheerful Spirit: The OA is the Brotherhood of Cheerful Service. Lodge officers will be observing each patrol and awarding points. OA History: It is anticipated that each Chapter/Troop may have OA / Lodge memorabilia unique from the others. A museum will be set up in the East Side of the Dining Hall for each Chapter display. The winning Chapter will be recognized at Sunday morning after the worship service with a special prize for each individual participating from that Chapter and a plaque/award to be displayed at this year’s Chapter meetings then displayed in the Lodge Home. |
