Get Ready for Spooktacular Fun

Spend a Halloween-themed weekend with us at Camp Karankawa.

- Pumpkin Painting & Carving (Bring proof of Whittling Chip or parental supervision required to carve)
- Costume contest
- Campsite decoration contest
- Trick or treating at campsites
- Halloween-themed games & crafts
- Range and Target Activities
- Haunted fort
- Spooky trail hike
- Saturday night movie

*Adults and youth are encouraged to wear a costume.

Registration

WHO MAY ATTEND: For registered Cub Scouts, siblings, and their parents. All registrations must include at least one parent and one registered Cub Scout. 

TIME: Check-in between 5-8 p.m. on Friday. Check-out by Noon Sunday. Check-in at 7 a.m.-8:15 a.m. Saturday. Program starts at 8:45 a.m. Saturday.

DATE: October 17-19, 2025

PLACE: Camp Karankawa, 3249 FM 1459, Sweeny, TX 77480

COST: (Cost includes a patch and t-shirt for youth participants. Adults may pay $15 if they wish to purchase a t-shirt. Cub Scouts who wish to carve a pumpkin must show proof of their Whittling Chip.)
- $20 per Cub Scout
- $20 per parent/guardian 
- $8 per sibling, 

- Complimentray, Ages 4 and under
- Complimentary staff - MUST BE APPROVED prior to registration.

LUNCH: $5 lunch available on Saturday.

MAX PARTICIPANTS: 400

__Sleeping bag, tent, ground cloth or tarp

Cancellation Policy
Refunds will only be granted and paid to the original paying customer - the unit or individual. Refunds will only be considered under certain circumstances (sickness, death in family, summer school, military deployment or relocation) as long as it is requested in writing, with back-up documentation, and received in the Scout Service Center, 3020 53rd Street, Galveston, TX 77551-5917. A 15% processing fee will be applied to all refunds. Refund requests due to light weather issues, homesickness, schedule conflicts, misinterpretation of printed council policies and procedures or reasons other than those noted above do not qualify. In addition, partial refunds will not be granted for partial camp/event stays. If a camp or event is forced to be canceled by the council, because of severe weather, or circumstances prior to the camp or event occurring, the council will reschedule the camp/event or initiate the refund process. All refund requests are due to the council office no later than 15 days after the close of the event. Refunds will be issued in the form of the original payment within 30 days after a formal decision has been made.
