Outdoor Ethics Training

Outdoor Ethics Training provides Scouting leaders and outdoor enthusiasts with the knowledge and skills to help protect our natural resources while delivering safe, responsible outdoor adventures. This course fulfills the recommended Outdoor Ethics training for leaders and supports a culture of conservation throughout Scouting.

Instead of simply learning the principles online or through self-study, participants will engage in interactive discussions, hands-on activities, and real-world outdoor scenarios that demonstrate how to put Outdoor Ethics into practice. You'll leave with practical tools you can immediately use to teach Scouts and model responsible outdoor behavior.

Whether you are an experienced outdoor leader or new to camping and hiking, Outdoor Ethics Training will strengthen your understanding of conservation, stewardship, and the principles of Leave No Trace, helping ensure that future generations can enjoy the outdoors.

Outdoor Ethics Training includes:

  • The principles of Leave No Trace and Outdoor Ethics
  • Practical applications for camping, hiking, and outdoor activities
  • Methods for teaching Outdoor Ethics to Scouts and units
  • Conservation awareness and stewardship practices
  • Resources to help leaders incorporate Outdoor Ethics into their unit's outdoor program

Outdoor Ethics Training is an excellent course for any registered adult leader who wants to enhance the quality of their unit's outdoor program while helping Scouts become responsible stewards of the outdoors.
