Scouting makes a direct and positive impact on your community. Join the individuals, corporations, and foundations who support Scouting's mission.

There are many ways to support the Bay Area Council, BSA. From a few hours of donated time, our annual Friends of Scouting campaign and Golf Tournament, to our Eagle in Flight campaign and ongoing Capital Campaign to raise funds for the Camp Karanakawa and Sea Scout Base Galveston endowment, everything helps.

Friends of Scouting

Use the link on the left to donate to Friends of Scouting Leadership Breakfast Events today. Friends of Scouting is an annual campaign where the Bay Area Council asks Scouting families, businesses and civic-minded citizens to support our mission of providing the Scouting program to thousands of youth all along the Texas Gulf Coast. One-hundred percent of funds generated stays local to support the youth in our area.

Give financial support, or an old vechicle, or even name a memorial after someone special who also loves Scouting, outdoors adventures and helping the community.

Leave behind a lasting legacy with the gift of an endowment or become a corporate sponsor.

Give time, and quickly discover that volunteering enables you to learn new skills and build lifelong friendships while having fun.

Eagle in Flight

The Bay Area Council has developed an endowment fund to support Camp Karankawa and the Sea Scout Base ~ Galveston properties. The endowment fund is permanent with the annual earnings being used for property improvements, capital needs and maintenance. Additionally, the earnings may be used to give assistance to Bay Area Council Scouts that need financial assistance.

Capital Campaign

The capital campaign raises significant dollars for a specific project. Often the money raised is to fund the acquisition, construction, or renovation of a building, but sometimes, capital campaigns are used to build an endowment for the future. In other cases, capital campaigns fund an extraordinary expenditure such as an expensive piece of equipment.

Capital campaigns have a beginning and an end, but often span several years, so Bay Area Council's projects vary based on the needs of the community. Capital campaigns require extraordinary preparation and skillful execution. Watch for updates and ways you can help have a positive impact your community.
