Galveston Police Department Tour for Cub Scouts

Virtual First Responder Series for Cub Scouts

A first responder is a real-life superhero. They're someone whose job is to respond immediately (first) when there is an accident or emergency. Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), paramedics, firefighters, and police officers are all considered first responders.

We’ve reached out to fire stations, police stations, and health care workers to present a council-wide virtual tour of their work environment and show you what being a first responder means in their community! The guests will also include a short Q&A for Scouts to ask questions.

Participants will receive a certificate upon completion.

Advancements

Tiger, Safe & Smart; Wolf, Council Fire; Wolf, Hometown Heroes; Bear, Paws for Action; Webelos, First Responders.
