OA Wihinipa Hinsa Winter Ordeal 2017

About

The Wihinipa Hinsa Lodge #113 will have its Winter Ordeal at Camp Karankawa every January. Those Scouts who have been elected by their Troop and called-out at a previous event are now eligible to confirm their commitment to serve others through their membership in the Order of the Arrow. You are only candidates at this point. You must complete the Ordeal weekend to become official members of the Order of the Arrow.

 

Registration

DATE: January 13-15, 2017

COST: $10 per Elangomat

PLACE: Camp Karankawa, 3249 Fm 1459 Rd, Sweeny, TX 77480

TIME: Check-in Friday from 6-8 p.m., Check-out Sunday from 10 a.m.-Noon (depending if work is done).

REGISTER BY:  January 3, 2017

There will be no Elangomat registrations accepted after that date.

Elangomats must be Brotherhood members who are willing to serve in the following capacities:

1) 2 Brotherhood members will serve together as Elangomats per Clan (8-10 Ordeal Candidates)

2) These Elangomats will oversee the Ordeal of their Clan.

3) Each Elangomat will follow up with each Ordeal member after the Ordeal Ceremony to help guide the Ordeal members to their Brotherhood level.

This will serve as continuity to the Ordeal members and will build the Lodge membership and participation.

             __ Official BSA Health Form (Part A and B)
             __
Field Uniform (Full Class A - Shirt, Shorts, Socks) (Please arrive at Camp in your uniform)
             __Sleeping bag
             __Ground cloth
             __Canteen or water bottle
             __Bug spray
             __Work clothes
             __Work gloves
             __Work boots
             __Swim Suit
             __Rain gear
             __Zip-lock bags
             __Hat
             __Sunscreen lotion

$10.00 per Participant
Cancellation Policy
Refunds of camp/event fees will only be considered if requested in writing and received in the council office at least 10 days prior to the start of camp or an event. Refunds are generally only given for personal illnesses of the registered participant or a family emergency.
